As Ramadan wraps up (and it may end today or go for another day, depending on the country), Muslims around the world will gather together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a joyous holiday celebrated globally. It marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, and is a time for celebration, feasting, and gift-giving.
This is a great time for Christians to be a blessing in Muslim communities in a number of ways. First, be sure to greet your Muslim friends with ‘Eid Mubarak!’ Bring a gift of candy or homemade treats to a Muslim neighbour. Consider inviting Muslims to your home to share a meal and your family life with them. Many international students, especially, return to their home nations without ever having been invited into a local home in the country where they’ve studied.
Ask God if there was any specific request or people group from this year that He wants you to focus on in more depth through praying, giving to Gospel outreach amongst those people, or maybe going yourself.
Ramadan may be over for this year, but we would encourage you to keep praying for Muslims you know, as well as Muslim communities around the world. Plus, here are a few more ways to learn and stay involved over the coming year:
Get Involved
Since 30 Days of Prayer began, we have seen incredible things happen as many Muslims have become followers of Jesus and entire communities have chosen to follow Him. Help this momentum to continue and get involved in 30 Days of Prayer!
